New Year With New Goals. Bring It On, 2009!

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

Off the top of my head, I can’t think of anyone who thought 2008 was a good year. Not that 2009 is expected to be much better, but can it really be any worse? If so, we’re all totally screwed. Anyhow, it’s a new year now and I gotta make some resolutions for myself. Let’s see if I can stick to them for at least a month or so. (more…)

At Least I Have NBA Live

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Wow. After my very strongly worded letter to the Clippers front office, our boys are really starting to turn things around. Not that I really think my letter had anything to do with it, but I just like seeing more wins getting locked in. When i was on the way back from Idaho and Utah, the Clips beat an excellent Portland Trailblazer team with Brandon Roy and old man face Greg Oden at the Rose Garden Arena in a double overtime thriller. Then, still on the way home, they whooped on Yao Ming and Tracy McRady’s bitch asses back at Staples Center.

Multi Media Service (MMS) App Coming For iPhone?

Sunday, December 21st, 2008

Yes, I’ve had my grips about the Apple iPhone. I just got the new 3G version courtesy of the Laws (Will, Janel, Kaylee, Kyle, and Maggie), and haven’t had many problems with it. I was digging around on Phone Scoop, one of my favorite sites, and saw that there was a company working on an app for it. Here’s the news entry. (more…)

Manny Pacquaio Whoops On Oscar De Le Hoya

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

I don’t watch a lot of professional boxing, but I kept hearing this buzz going around about the Manny Pacquaio and Oscar De Le Hoya fight. I mean, this was a big money deal that paid both fighters eight figures worth of cash. Insane. Plus it was huge  because De Le Hoya used to be the man and Pacquaio is the man so it’d be intresting to see how it ended. (more…)

Being Cheap Chinese: Part 1

Friday, December 19th, 2008

I started thinking back to when we shot the cover of our first issue of Project Car. It was in CFO Will’s garage in Walnut, with Steve Demmitt shooting and this art director who ended up bailing on us a week later. (more…)

Last Fans Standing On A Sinking Clippers Ship

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

With a vomit inducing record of 4-17 a quarter of the way through the 2008-2009 NBA season, I felt there was a need to write in to the Los Angeles Clippers organization to let them know exactly how I felt about their production, or lack of. I think all fans should have a voice because we are the ones spending money on tickets and fan gear. I didn’t want this letter to be so long, but I have a lot of free time on my hands being unemployed and all. (more…)
