In mid November, Will Roegge and I (aka the Medium Monster crew) went out to Palm Springs to shoot the launch of the 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT. Amazingly enough, I realized that I’ve never hung out in Palm Springs in the 30+ years that I’ve lived in Southern California. Media guys stayed at the Riviera hotel while us dudes crashed in the swanky Colony hotel. Though we both had to share a room and the “intimacy kit” filled with condoms and flavored lotion was quite suspicious. Hey, it wasn’t only us! The photography crew had the same dealio. I think the Colony was more of a couples hotel than a business type one. Either way, no es bueno. Anyhow, after getting very lost the first day following Taro Koki from GTChannel and Ed Loh of Motor Trend in their sportback Lancer, we managed to get to the off-road course to see what the new S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) system in the Outlander GT was all about. Check out the video with a special appearance by Moe Durand. He asked us to fill in his thinning hair, but somethings just can’t be accomplished no matter how much you tweak it in post. LOL. Just kidding.
