OK. Technically my eye isn’t black. In this picture, you can barely even tell. So keep that in mind before saying “oh, your eye isn’t even black.” It was more of a light purple and a tad swollen from playing D on that white dude at the gym and ending up getting accidentally head butted. Sucks that it was the same eye that hasnt stopped twitching for the past month and a half. Sucks even more that it’s still twitching. Now that we have that cleared up, the next step was to try and get rid of it. You know, because I have that big modeling shoot coming up an all. Yeah, you’re right. I don’t really. Come to think of it, my eye didn’t even hurt that bad as long as I didn’t touch it. I just wanted the bruise to peace out so I tried the frozen spoon trick to no avail. Next, I went for the hard boiled egg, which is supposed to pull the blood from the bruise. I’ve heard from a few people that it works and if you crack the egg open after, you’ll see the blood inside it. Weird. Even weirder that I could only find one or two write ups on Google about it.
Damn, Myth Busters, where you at on this one? Even Destination Truth could take a shot at this since they never did anything interesting anyway. Stupid wannabe Dane Cook. Ugh. I guess I was on my own for this one. I was kind of excited to see if it would work so I boiled up an egg, wrapped it in cloth, and put it against my bruised eye for a good 45 minutes. When it wasn’t scolding hot, I placed it directly on the bruise. Afterwards, my eye was still light purple and when I cracked the egg open it looked like a normal hard boiled egg, except I didn’t plan to eat it. Bummer. Waste of an egg that could have been in my stomach instead. Maybe I did it wrong, waited too long, or wasn’t injured enough. I just know that the hard boiled egg - black eye cure didn’t work for me. If anyone has done it successfully I’d love to hear about it so hit me up.
