Yeah, another on of my friends had a baby (and didn’t name him after me). I’m actually not entirely sure why I keep writing blogs about my friends’ kids since my mom will flip out when she reads about them and start hounding me about getting married and giving her some grandchildren of her own. Admittedly, I do not know a lot about babies ore the pregnancy process (other than the act of conceiving). So very rarely will you ever hear me make stupid comments like “oh. looks like she’s ready to pop” or any variation of that because I really don’t know what differentiatesa pregant person being ready to pop and not. Plus doesn’t “popping” a baby out just sound a bit weird?
On August 16, 2009 (by the way, my Hand Twin Janel Law predicted this day since she said he would be 8-16 BIG like Andy Yu) my homie (unfortunately a Lakers fan) Jimmy Le and his wife (also, an unfortunate Lakers fan) gave birth to their brand new baby boy, Brandon Albano Le. You might remember them from my post about the Great Baby Shower Debacle of 2009. When I asked them before they found out, if they wanted a boy or a girl, they both said “healthy.” But I knew Jimmy wanted a boy so he could someday play in some professional sport. Ugh. Imagine if you had a daughter that played in the WNBA (minus Candace Parker). I can tell you that nobody is happier than Jimmy about this since originally the baby was due on August 10, which was nearly a week prior to the actual birth date. I talked to him last week and he was pissed that the doctors told him that the baby was due any day now back on the 6th or 7th of the month. Comparing them to weather people that can make bogus predictions and never be held accountable for their mistakes or inaccurate ramblings.
I think I was playing ball with Elliott at the ultra ghetto Bloomfield Park when I got a text message from Jimmy at 4:48pm that Brandon Le had arrived with measurments of 9lbs 14oz and 21 inches. Apparently that’s big for a baby so I could front and say something like “whoa. That’s a big baby” or “NBA player in the making.” Honestly, I have no idea what’s considered a big baby or what isn’t. They just got discharged out of the hospital today so Jimmy says he’s tired. I don’t think he has to worry since according to Tyrone Rodriguez, taking care of the baby and changing the diapers is the job of the woman anyway. Sounds like a sweet deal to me. Congrats to Jimmy and Rachel on their new baby boy. I hope he grows up to be a Clippers fan. By that time, Dumb Dumbleavy will be fully bald and long gone like a bandit in the night.
